NOAA Fisheries just released the 5-Year Status Review of the Western Steller sea lion population.
In this review, they evaluated the status of the Western population of Stellers as required under the Endangered Species Act, taking into consideration factors that they was listed for, and threats or recovery actions identified in the Recovery Plan.
They have determined that the Western population should retain its Endangered status. A copy can be downloaded here.
